His numerous published bibliographies included those on industrial efficiency, and Classified guide to 1700 annuals, directories, calendars and year books (1923) and, outstandingly, Bibliography of library economy, 1876-1909 (1910, second edition updated to 1920 (1927)). A supplement, Library literature 1921-1932 was reprinted as the first volume of H W Wilson's series Library literature.
